Hi, I’m John Paterno
I’m an Art Director focused on building brands that actually work — across real environments, real timelines, and real constraints.
My experience spans startup platforms, national campaigns, operational systems, physical environments, and multi-brand creative. From shaping early-stage brand and product experiences at Comixology to executing large-scale programs like NASCAR, I’ve worked across digital, physical, and experiential design.
I’m especially interested in the intersection of brand, systems, and execution — where ideas need to scale, adapt, and hold together across every touchpoint.

How I Work
I like solving creative problems by building systems around them. That can mean a campaign identity, a physical environment, a production workflow, or a brand language that needs to stretch across teams, formats, and real-world conditions.
My work is hands-on, but the goal is always bigger than the individual asset: clarity, consistency, momentum, and creative work that performs beyond the screen.
